Plants in a Rivulet

The seasonal creek at the end of our property is an endless source of fascination. These plants, growing below the water are: the tiny water lily, Nymphoides minima; Eriocaulon setaceum (the green rosettes which will put up spherical flowers above the water's surface; and a species of Xyris which starts as red, grass like fingers and changes into a spiky rosette of yellow flowers when the water has dried up.
